The Hybrid Model

The final task in preliminary model works is the culmination of our nearly three week work on collages and study models.

For the past three weeks, we have been asked to make three three collages and nine study models based on the concepts of program, edge and design.

For our final task, we were asked to make a hybrid model that embodies the best qualities chosen from our previous study models.

My hybrid model is meant to resemble a flower rising amongst the scaffolds. In the eventual building, the exhibition area would be located at the ground level, while the rest of the museum would be on top. The final structure is meant to be around 50 - 60 ft, serving as an iconic beacon from Red Hook while also welcoming people who arrive to New York  Harbor.

Love what you came up with. It really represents your ideas.
But I want to see how parts of that concept start growing in other places on your site. Do not limit yourself to one cluster
